Mother Of Waters
our most recent album, Mother Of Waters was a much more ambitious leap. we recorded it in Soundhouse Seattle, completely on reel-to-reel tape, and collaborated with bassist Julian Weisman.
this album is a departure, with no folk traditionals, and the second half being a tribute to the eruption of Mt St Helens and the lives lost due to government negligence. we pushed our abilities and creative power to the limits, and resulted in a rich, driven sound ranging from passionate to dark. we hope you'll take your time with this one, and stay tuned for a vinyl release, and just like our debut album, all CDs and vinyls include a bonus track, "The Parting Glass", for a nod to an old traditional.
Shelter Among Wolves
our debut album Shelter Among Wolves was the first time we've ever put out music. recorded entirely in our apartment on a simple DIY setup, we like to think of it as an introduction to our sound. several originals are on it, but also some old traditionals peppered in, like the Celtic/UK tunes "Wind And Rain" and the American "Land Of Rest".
this album is tends to stay softer, more contemplative, showing the simple power of two people playing two instruments and singing, unadorned. on the CD edition, the bonus track "Scarborough Fair" adds a perfect ending, in our opinion. ;)
